Today is Random act of kindness Day.✨ On that note a little food for thought for us all on why random acts of kindness between each and every one of us are important. As human beings, it can be difficult for us to choose kindness over anger as anger at times is our human natural emotional response to many situations. However, in a world that seeks so often to try and divide us, and chip away at the things that tie us to each together, just remember that kindness is an impenetrable shield and the glue that holds us all together. Hi, lovely people with these words in mind, I am taking a much-needed break as from today 25th January the studio will be closed and open again on Wednesday 26th February. ✨

You can still make appointments for skin rituals whilst I'm away via the studios online booking system and purchase gift vouchers too. You can find a Book Now button in my bio to make a booking. Appointment availability is filling up fast though for when I return. ’For ALL’ gift voucher recipients, you must call the studio directly and quote your voucher number to make a booking. And for those that prefer to call/text or for those who may be a little reluctant to use the online booking system please note all bookings, not just online ones will now require a deposit to secure your appointment time.✨ For all calls/text received when the studio is closed the lovely Dom will be able to assist you with any bookings/enquires but please allow 24 hours for a response. As we know melatonin plays an important role in regulating our sleep, yet melatonin is so much more than just our “sleep hormone” that regulates the body’s circadian rhythm. In regards to how our skin functions melatonin and our circadian rhythm, plays an active role in staving off/how we age. This is mainly due to melatonin levels declining as we age, and our circadian rhythms become less regular, however, many contributing factors, such as illness, and certain neurological conditions also play a part in this. While skin aging is complicated, it's impacted by many contributing factors, however, the strong antioxidant properties of melatonin aid in protecting our cells(and organs) from aging, UV solar damage and as well as protecting the collagen in the dermal layer of the skin. In regards to pigmentation melatonin production controls pigmentation changes by the gathering of melanin into the melanocytes within the skin, causing the skin to change colour. This is why we find a paler swallow skin colour with the lack of luminosity in those who suffer from insomnia or those experiencing interrupted sleep(such as new mums) and those with poor sleep hygiene. Hi lovely people, for those who may read this post and who maybe clients or those who are planning to visit the studio for a treatment and are not aware just a little FYI that I’m having a break for an overseas adventure and the studio, is closing at 2 pm on afternoon of Friday 24th January and reopening Wednesday 26th February.
Appointments are limited and if you and your skin are in need of a little self-care or if you need to pick up some skincare/products before I head off please get in touch. You can either book online or via the phone and leave a message and your call will be returned.
Available appointments in January (until late February)
1: Thursday 16th 10.30 am, 12 pm, 1 pm
2: Friday 14th 2 pm and 3.30 pm
2: Saturday 15th at 9 am (No Gift vouchers). Please also note the next available Saturday appointment is 11 am 7th March.
3: Wednesday 22nd at 8.30 am
4: Friday 24th at 10 am and 12 pm.

As the year and the decade draws to a close many of us take time to do a little reflection on the lessons that life has taught us. Some of these lessons are ones you never want to be repeated and some are invaluable and change how we view and live our daily life for the better. For me(if anyone’s interested😉) one of the most invaluable lessons I have learnt over the years is we all make mistakes, we all fall down, or do things without thinking. Don't beat yourself up about stuff. Do what you can do to fix your mistakes, as whatever it is, it is never, ever as important as those/things you value in life. Gently move on. Give yourself a break and cherish your friendships/family, as life is for living.😘 May the new year/decade be a gentle and kind one to you and your loved ones and see you in 2020.
